The salad bar was fresh and we enjoyed all the different salads. We had calamari as an appetizer which was so good we didn't take time for a picture! Our steaks were cooked perfectly! Top notch service! Thank you for an amazing dining experience and we are looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent food, comfortable atmosphere, great salad bar, friendly service in a real old meat packing plant. Very cool.

If a cool atmosphere and steaks cooked perfectly on point are some of your criteria, visit the Packinghouse in Galesburg. Located in an old meat packing facility, the Packinghouse is kind of hidden away a couple of blocks south of Main Street. It's worth finding though especially if you remember to ask for the rolls. Thanks for the great food and service! We'll be back next time we venture up to the 'Burg.

I love the honey pecan chicken here. The salad bar is always fresh and delicious. The prime rib on weekends is AMAZING, and the steaks are cooked to perfection. A must place to dine when in the area❣❣❣

Pricey but nice environment! Have been there before years ago and I found this visit much less formal and less busier. On a bad note I opened my cloth napkin only to find my silverware and several female strands of hair entwined. My waitress quickly replaced the napkin and apologized .The Calamari appetizer was excellent! The Portobello sandwich was delicious and the wife's pasta dish perfect! The staff were attentive and helpful for the most part. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We ordered from Door Dash. The prime rib was the best I've ever had. I love their cinnamon rolls too, which we got for free with out meals, along with dinner rolls. I wasn't expecting them, and I was very pleased.

No offense to those who work there and work hard, or to those who like the place. But The Packinghouse is just a bit overrated and a bit over priced. 3 people: An acceptably prepared steak, some very bland pasta with flavorless shrimp, and a salad bar... 50 bucks. And that was after the steak dinner was made half off due to a birthday.Furthermore, the dining room is small, tight, and quite dim. One guest had to use the light on their phone to read the menu. The decor and antique equipment is kinda cool though.All in all, I can understand whybsome like it. But, at least for me, it's very hit and miss. And doesn't live up to the hype.

Salad bar was good as had been. Cinnamon rolls were actually best I'd had from there. Tuna steak, rare, was tasty and cooked perfect to order...add baked sweet potato and all round Yumm!

I booked our Sunrise Rotary Christmas Party here with Tabitha and it was a smashing success!! Beautiful space, delicious food, and wonderful service! We could not have been happier! If you're planning a party and need a special space with a perfect set up...call owner Tabitha and her staff at the Packinghouse...you will be thrilled you did!

We had a lunch special - half sandwich and salad bar for $10. I was so pleased to find many of the salad bar items I loved from years past. There was tomato and artichoke salad, pea salad, and the best potato salad you'll ever find. And the world-famous cinnamon rolls were brought to the table in a basket! Still delicious as ever! I was very happy to find the Packinghouse is as I remember it from years ago and I look forward to enjoying more meals here in the future.

Great idea using an old building and left over equipment. Very good food and friendly staff!!
